Salary: National Minimum Wage
Hours: 28 hours per week
Contract: You will be employed on a flexible contract and will be expected to work additional hours. These flexible hours will be agreed by your manager, with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice given prior to any additional hours being worked
Location: Winlaton Mill, Gateshead
About The Role
Working with a supportive brigade, you will be involved with the day-to-day running of catering services, providing exceptional customer care and maintain consistently high standards of service, hygiene, and health & safety.
The role requires a positive and flexible approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced customer environment. In addition, the role will require weekend working and some evening working.
Within the fixed 28 hours per week role, you may be asked to deputise for the Catering Supervisor due to absence/holidays. If this occurs, a different hourly rate of pay will be paid for these hours.
About you
The organisation is seeking someone who is outgoing and enthusiastic, preferably with experience of customer service in a fast-paced catering environment. You will be an excellent communicator who is open, honest and acts with integrity. You will be flexible and willing to tackle any task or role assigned to you with a positive attitude.
With a passion for food and delivering an excellent service, you will also have knowledge of food safety and health and safety principles.
