We are currently working with a client based in the Kendal area who is looking for a Catering Assistant to start as soon as possible, until the end of March.
The Catering Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day catering operations, ensuring the provision of high-quality meals.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 10:00 to 1:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals in accordance with established menus and dietary requirements.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining areas at all times, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after meal times.
- Maintain stock levels of food and supplies, and assist with inventory management and ordering as needed.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling and storage of food items.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a catering or food service environment is preferred.
- Basic food hygiene certification is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
