Catering & Bar Supervisor

About the Role

This role includes evening and some weekend shifts. 

​This role will be based at Leeds Conservatoire. 

We are seeking a Catering and Bar Supervisor to join the Food Service and Catering Department, which plays a vital role in the student experience. What You Will Do

• To assist the Catering and Bar Manager with the efficient and effective operation of the Company’s catering service, working to agreed service standards and financial regulations.
• To ensure the customers are given prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To deputise for the Catering and Bar Manager in his/her absence.
• To project a willing and helpful attitude to customers at all times, seek appropriate knowledge of food items, and keep service areas clean and fully stocked.
• To carry out clerical activities in respect of daily catering controls, records and complete daily paperwork and update computer systems in accordance with financial procedures and as directed by the Catering and Bar Manager.
• Use of an EPOS till.
• To maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the café and cooking areas, including washing up and cleaning of equipment.
• To ensure food safety requirements are adhered to at all times and all due diligence records are completed accurately.

About You

• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Relevant up to date knowledge of catering and hospitality.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and Supervisory experience of bar and/or catering environment.
• Experience in using a till and dealing with cash and credit cards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
