Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will:
- Manage and influence a wider team to implement the CBM strategy, and check progress of this.
- Be the site expert for the condition monitoring techniques including vibration analysis, thickness testing, thermography, oil analysis and ultrasonic thickness testing.
- Be responsible for the selection and use of various condition monitoring techniques, based on best practice and liaising with subject experts.
- Collate information from vibration analysis testing and produce reports interpreting the results, with maintenance strategies put in place off the back of the findings.
- Develop and review various condition monitoring routes and routines.
- Supervise a Lubrication Technician, providing support when necessary.
- Always work to the highest health and safety standards.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or other similar discipline.
- Experience managing and influencing a team is essential for this role.
- Experience on a similar heavy industrial environment (CHP / Power generation etc).
- Experience working on a site with multiple work areas and operational and non-operational periods would be hugely beneficial.
- A CAT-I or CAT-II qualification for Vibration Analysis would be highly desirable.
