The role is full-time, and you will be working a Monday to Friday shift pattern, on a 48-hour contract, overtime is available on top of this. The salary for this role is £37,757. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Be able to managecommunicate effectively with both team members and the customer
- Reporting any accidents or incidents to supervisors immediately
- Monitoring driver progress throughout the day.
- Concise communication with customers and receiving depots.
- Debriefing drivers and consolidating POD information.
- Maintaining information on Tachomaster
- Organising Vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Maintain site defect registers
- Organise subcontractors when required
- Keeping workflows up to date.
- Create and maintain a culture where Health and Safety is a priority.
- Ensure Workplace Organisation standards are adhered to at all times.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Excellent customer services skills
- Full category CE Licence
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ideally, prior experience in a Lead Driver role
- A good telephone manner as you will be calling customers while on route
- To create the behaviour of working together and sharing best practices, fostering networks and collaborating with colleagues within site to resolve issues.
