Legacy Leisure operates five leisure facilities across the Vale of Glamorgan working in partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council. This position is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the Legacy Leisure team as part of the Wales and South West Region.
Reporting to the Contract Manager the successful candidate will be required to take overall responsibility for the effective management and operation of two Leisure facilities including two swimming pools, fitness gyms, studios, sports halls, and a health suite. Both sites have recently had significant investment upgrading gyms, studios and public space and further work is planned in 2024. There will be an emphasis on growing the business, improving the customer experience and consistently enhancing both the financial performance and usage of the facilities within the Contract specification.

The Person
- Previous managerial experience in excess of three years and a proven track record of delivering on KPI's is essential.
- You should be able to manage and develop staff efficiently to meet the operational requirements of the Contract.
- Extensive knowledge of the safe operation of swimming pools and the leisure industry in general.
- A recognised qualification in Leisure Management is desirable.
- The following qualifications would be advantageous; Health & Safety Competent Persons, National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, Pool Plant Operators.
- Excellent communication and customer / client liaison skills are essential.
- Candidates must have an understanding of financial procedures and be able to manage budgets for the contract whilst consistently developing and improving operational procedures.
- Flexibility and commitment to customer service are essential.
- Salary - 36,500 with potential bonus based performance.
