About the roles:
The Change Manager is fundamental to enabling the University to embed strategic changes, driven by its ambitious 2021-2026 Strategy.
This exciting, wide-ranging, influential and highly visible role consists of two key elements:
1. Hands-on change management leadership across strategic projects and programmes
2. Embedding change management practices across the institution, helping the University develop its change capability
As part of the Planning Performance and Strategic Change (PPSC) department, you will work with colleagues to plan, coordinate and deliver strategic change projects as well as provide ad-hoc consultancy support to non-strategic projects. This will include leading project team(s), driving and monitoring progress and reporting through governance boards, integrating with formal external governance bodies and engagement groups.
You will need to build strong relationships and provide change management support across the University, working closely with PPSC senior leads, Directors/Heads of Academic and Professional Services Departments, and other colleagues.
We are recruiting for two Change Managers:
1. Full time, fixed term position for a duration of 2 years
2. Full time, 12 month parental leave cover with an expected end date of 29th August 2025, subject to the early return of the post holder.

- A strong understanding of change management and a proven track record in successfully influencing change
- The ability to tailor and develop approaches to change according to the environment impacted
- Experience of designing and delivering training
- An understanding of project management
- Strong influencing, negotiating and communication skills
- The ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
- A collaborative approach that ensures a positive working environment

Planning, Performance and Strategic Change (PPSC) department is a relatively new function, created to help deliver the ambitious University Strategy. As part of the team, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and influence the change and project management approach across the University. Being part of the department, you will collaborate closely with our team of project managers and business analysts on strategic project delivery, and work closely with our strategy, planning and performance and insights teams
