Over recent years, Costa has expanded into new channels & products including an FMCG range typically sold in Grocery & Convenience retailers around GB. It has become one of the fastest growing areas of the Costa brand and we are on an exciting journey to become a top 100 FMCG brand in the UK across key categories including Ready to Drink Coffee (‘RTD’) and At Home Coffee. In 2023, we grew rapidly again and became the #3 brand in At Home Coffee and growing ahead of all other Coffee brand, further demonstrating the need for Coffee shop quality solutions at home.
As a result of an internal move we are looking to appoint a Channel Activation Manager to be responsible for developing and implementing a clear executional look of success across retail environments, working in collaboration with our partners. This role will work closely with the FMCG Brand Marketing lead to translate the key Costa Masterbrand campaigns and objectives into shopper facing materials & moments to build visibility and drive Costa brand preference & conversion in outlets up and down the country, across both our RTD and At Home ranges.
We are looking for someone with those magic ingredients of strong influencing skills, creativity and with solid experience of commercial execution – likely to include overseeing FMCG brand campaigns across retailers & channels.

A bit about the role...
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for making sure we attract more shoppers and consumers to the Costa FMCG range. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Developing fit for purpose & engaging campaign materials for our partners to execute across retailers, underpinned by clear shopper & consumer insight
- Setting clear direction on the outlet ‘look of success’ for each campaign and always on programmes
- Manage the Costa owned channels communication plan (e.g. Social, CRM, loyalty, stores) for FMCG and work with key specialists internally to bring to life
- Adhoc project support to grow internal and external engagement for the Costa FMCG range, including management and support of conferences, events & customer presentations
- Develop clear post campaign reviews and recommendations to build into future activation planning
- Management and optimisation of execution budgets

Fuelled by a passion and experience within a Marketing FMCG role is just the start of what for. To excel as a Channel Activation Manager at Costa you’ll demonstrate:
- Track record of creating compelling shopper facing marketing campaigns to driving key shopper metrics (e.g. Penetration, Frequency etc)
- Able to creatively bring together brand and retailer priorities with a Commercial mindset
- Experience working within an FMCG business
- Expert at simple, visually compelling communications
- Comfortable and confident working across cross functional teams and in a matrix environment
- Advanced communication & interpersonal skills with an ability to gaining stakeholder buy-in across all levels of the organisation
- Ability to operate at pace
- Build long term relationships with key partners and customers

Location: Remote role with the ability to travel to Wimpole Street office a minimum of once a week
