Position Summary
An opportunity to be part of an exciting business area within Samsung UK, supporting the growth of key retailers within the UK.
What the critical purpose of the role?
This role is to manage key retailer Channel Marketing activity including online and offline stores, ensuring that cohesive quarterly / 6 month / 12 month marketing plans are in place and implemented effectively. This role is also required to develop strategic TTL plans with partners for new product launch, in-life phase and implement channel campaigns in order to achieve sell-out targets, expand market share and pursue bold growth targets.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Understanding the customer account requirements, strategic direction and opportunities by developing prosperous relationships at all levels in the account
  • Develop category expertise and an understanding of Samsung Brand and tone of voice
  • Responsible for GTM planning & execution for new product launches, life cycle management and budget ownership to run sell in and sell out of Samsung products across all Independents
  • Create and implement strong, creative TV and AV marketing activities including key promotional activity /added value campaigns within specific handled channels on time and to budget. These activities could include:
  • ATL Media – TV, Press, Outdoor
  • In-store Promotion Execution – POS and product displays
  • Execution on third party retailer websites including product page management, banner advertising and brand store development.
  • Drive digital advertising campaigns around paid search, social, SEO, affiliates and VOD.
  • Effective Samsung brand management with customers across all these activities
  • Set critical metrics for all planned marketing activity including digital metrics, and handle/review efficiency & return on investment.
  • Work with agencies to create or customise assets to best communicate promotions, or product features and benefits that also give Samsung stand out and drive conversion.
  • Management of the Samsung Marketing Portal ensuring all assets are up to date
  • Work with online team to present new ideas that strengthen our brand differentiation and enhance the customer journey.
  • Be responsible for and ensure the Channel marketing budget and A&P accrual budget is allocated in a cost effective manner to improve return on investment.
  • Understand the stock and sales figures for each product in the range and ensure all products sell through in a timely manner.
  • Anticipate the competitive forces both in the market and within the retailers, and plan for such events to limit the potential negative effect upon Samsung sales.
Work with the Retail Marketing Team to ensure strong positioning of TVAV products in store both in branded display areas and in run.
Handle promotional events relevant to the channel, including logistics, creative and promotional mechanic to deliver a strong return on investment.
Skills and Qualifications
Soft Skills
  • Ability to balance multiple internal and external partners in order to successfully deliver on key projects
  • Experience managing agencies and third party suppliers
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • To be able to multi task and project lead large projects
  • Great teammate, with ability to quickly build solid working relationships across the business.
  • High attention to detail to ensure plans are driven as prescribed
  • Clear communicator able to articulate the approach and ongoing performance
  • Ability to create and deliver persuasive, clear, innovative and concise content
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced corporate environment
Hard Skills:
  • Experience within traditional marketing activation – radio, TV etc
  • Product Marketing and Services Marketing experience
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (inc Strong MS PowerPoint & Excel)
  • Highly analytical and able to interpret data in a meaningful way
  • Experience of running marketing budgets
