Our friendly team at Meallmore are looking for a Charge Nurse to join them in Forthland Lodge Care Home. Conveniently located close the city centre of Edinburgh, Forthland Lodge offers residents safe, comfortable surroundings in a purpose-built nursing home. Our purpose-built care home provides high quality, personalised nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia and its related conditions.
Our mentorship programme and ongoing training will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career whether that be a Deputy Manager or Registered Home Manager, the choice is yours!
Your role as a Meallmore Charge Nurse will include:
- Providing leadership to ensure the highest standards of care and clinical practice
- Oversee and coordinate the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to our residents.
- Develop and implement individualised and person-centred care plans based on residents' needs and preferences.
- Monitor and assess residents' health, promptly addressing any changes or medical concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications and skills:
- At least two years Care Home experience
- Relevant nursing qualification (RGN, RMN or RLDN)
- Current registration with the NMC
- Well-developed clinical knowledge
- The ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team
- Professional confidence with a calm approach and the ability to set professional boundaries
- Strong communication skills
- Collaborative approach to your work
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks

Salary: GBP21.14 per hour + overtime rates + benefits
Hours: 36 hours per week nightshift
