Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of families in Leeds?
Leeds Baby Bank is looking for a new Charity Operations Worker to join the team and would love to hear from you!
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing charity dedicated to ensuring all children can thrive and develop as they should.
At Leeds Baby Bank we provide essential baby equipment to families in crisis using a referral service through a health or social care professional. Some of the items we provide are pre-loved by other families, helping to reduce landfill and promote a more sustainable city. We are passionate about building community and have an active regular team of volunteers.
About the role
A key part of our team, the Charity Operations Worker, helps ensure the smooth running of the charity’s day-to-day operation. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and be able to work independently using your initiative and as part of a team managing the workload effectively.
Please note this post requires the post holder to be physically able to move boxes and handle stock.
Duties include:
- Putting together bundles for families
- Lifting, sorting and storing deliveries of baby items
- Checking donated items for safety and cleaning them ready for use
- Contacting families to understand their needs
