Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Kings College Hospital Charity in their search for a Grants and Fund Engagement Manager, managing the charity’s grants function to support life-changing care. This is a permanent, full-time position based in London (Hybrid).
King’s patients are at the heart of everything that Kings College Hospital Charity do. We’re the Charity dedicated to supporting life-changing care for patients at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (King’s). King’s is one of the biggest and busiest Trusts in the country, primarily serving the London Boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth, and Bromley, with a population of over 1 million people, and acting as a referral centre for millions more. King’s specialist services provide nationally and internationally recognised treatment and care in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, haemato-oncology, and fetal medicine. King’s College Hospital Charity make the best care for patients possible by raising money for cutting edge equipment and facilities, supporting staff, innovative research, and pioneering care and treatment.
It is an exciting time to join the Grants & Insight Team and help support the innovative and ambitious plans for our grant funding. In 2023, the Da Vinci XI Robot-Assisted Surgical system (RAS) was unveiled at King’s College Hospital at Denmark Hill. The Robot will be used in surgery, and is already providing demonstrable benefits for patients, reducing the length of stay in the hospital post-surgery, faster recovery time and fewer post-surgical complications.
Through the Crown Fund, we invest in projects to improve outcomes for patients who are particularly frail or vulnerable, whether through the complexity of their needs, the acuity of their illness or wider factors that prevent them from getting the help they need. In autumn 2023 we committed to supporting the King’s team working with patients living with sickle cell disease to improve the management of this very painful and debilitating condition so people can enjoy healthier lives.
