Charity Shop Retail Manager
We have exciting opportunities for Charity Shop Retail Managers to join a friendly team of staff and volunteers.
Position:Charity Shop Retail Manager
Location: Camden, London
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £22,500 per annum
About the Role:
To take full responsibility for all aspects of shop operations, with the purpose of ensuring the maximum amount of profit is gift aided to the charity. You will work with the company directors to further develop the profitability of the shop.
The Retail Manager is expected to:
- Run the shop with a minimum of day-to-day supervision and support.
- Ensure the premises are open and closed on time and properly staffed.
- Manage donated goods.
- Oversee shop finances including day to day management, primary record keeping, reporting and forecasting.
- Manage the volunteers and Assistant Manager and handle recruitment, inductions, training, supervision and delegation of tasks and dealing with disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Make best use of available resources.
- Act within the limits of their own authority.
- Be vigilant for potential risks and hazards and take effective steps to manage them.
- Take personal responsibility for making things happen.
In return you will receive:
- The salary is £22,500 p.a.
- Company pension scheme of 5% of your salary.
- Overtime granted as time off in lieu.
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
Shop opening hours are currently 10.00 – 6.00 Monday to Saturday and may include Sunday and/or bank holiday opening. The pattern of working hours is to be flexible and co-ordinated with the Assistant Manager to ensure maximum management cover and agreed by the Company Director. Occasional visiting during non-regular hours will be required.
You may also have experience in areas such as Charity Shop Manager, Relief Manager, Shop Manager, Store Manager, Retail Store Manager or Retail Manager.
