Position Overview:
 
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our client's kitchen brigade. As a CDP, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of their kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to deliver outstanding dishes that delight guests. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented culinary professional to showcase their creativity, hone their skills, and contribute to the success of this restaurant.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards, with a focus on quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Assist in menu development and contribute innovative ideas for seasonal specials and promotions.
  • Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all mise en place is prepared and organized efficiently.
  • Supervise and train junior members of the kitchen team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably within Mediterranean cuisine.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for food, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a busy kitchen.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with colleagues.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Culinary qualifications or relevant training is a plus.
