A great opportunity has arisen at one of our homes for a Chef Manager to join the team.

As a Chef Manager you will be responsible for:

• Providing homely meals for our residents, meeting a diverse range of dietary requirements.
• Planning staff rotas which are appropriate for the kitchen workload and arrange cover for planned absences, using existing and casual staff.
• Organising every aspect of the catering operation within the home to provide a safe, nutritious, cost effective quality service to all customers.
• Ensuring all statutory training takes place. Ensuring regular stock takes occur and that stock is maintained at minimum agreed levels.
• Communicating with all customers on a regular basis, whenever possible.
• Managing the catering budget and producing financial information relating to performance against the budget on a monthly basis.

Your Skills:

• Good knowledge of Health and Safety practices in the workplace.
• Ability to plan, prepare, cook and serve nutritious well-balanced and varied meals.
• Obtain a recognised professional catering qualification.
• Good organisational and team leadership skills.
• Ability to manage own time and resources.
• Ability to forward plan, keep accurate records and maintain stocks.
