Chef/Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth running of our food production. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and wants to gain experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
- Help with cooking and baking tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Support the team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen

Requirements
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and procedures
- Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £12.00-£12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
