Role: Chemistry Technician
Location: Kettering
Hours Of Work: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm. 37.5 hours.
Basic Salary: Upto £24,500
Additional Benefits: 25-20 days annual leave (service related,) Personal Pension Plan, Free parking.
Our client is looking for a Chemistry Technician, to work in their laboratory facility based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
Job Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be expected to carry out the following:
- Routine chemical resting to standard procedures within an accredited laboratory environment
- Calculate and record results and observations in an understandable manner
- Routine analytical equipment maintenance tasks
- Complete and maintain personal training records
- Work to deadlines
- Be able to work independently and as part of the laboratory team
Key Skills Required:
- You will possess GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths and at least one science subject at Grade C or above
- You should be familiar with MS Word and Excel
- Have good attention to detail and thoroughness
- You should be highly motivated, reliable & flexible
- Be able to follow instructions accurately
- You should have good teamwork skills
- Be experienced at meeting deadlines
- Possess enthusiasm and a helpful attitude
- You will need good time management, organisation and communication skills
- Full training will be provided, although previous laboratory experience is desirable.
