Chief Executive
Salary ǀ up to £75K (dependent on experience)
Location | York
Campbell Tickell are proud to be recruiting for the role of a Chief Executive at Wilberforce Trust.
Are you passionate about making a lasting impact?
The Wilberforce Trust is a longstanding and well-respected charity that has been dedicated to supporting individuals with visual impairments since 1833.
Having provided person-centred sensory services and activities across York, North Yorkshire, and surrounding areas, including supported housing and rehabilitation support, we have been a cornerstone in the local visual impairment community.
After a decade of transformative leadership, the current Chief Executive is stepping aside, creating an exciting opportunity for a new visionary leader to shape the organisation's trajectory over the next 5-10 years. In collaboration with the Board and senior management team, you will be the driving force behind the strategic direction, ensuring the charity's continued success. Your role will be pivotal in fostering resilience for the future and maintaining the provision of high-quality, customer-focused services to the visually impaired community.
As an ideal candidate, you may already possess experience in the health, social care or supported housing sectors; either way you will definitely have a keen eye and understanding of financials. However, if you come from a transferable sector, your clear understanding of regulatory environments and/or charity objectives will be invaluable. Whether this is your inaugural Chief Executive role or a step forward in your established career, your ability to collaborate with boards for strategic decision-making and your inclusive, values-based leadership approach will set you apart.
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and financially stable organisation that not only stands as a pillar in the community but also envisions growth in the future. If you are dynamic, forward thinking and ready to infuse your leadership with passion to drive the strategic vision of our progressive charity, then we invite you to apply for this exciting role.
