Job description

Required to start mid October 2024

Pendle Leisure Trust is based in the heart of East Lancashire and is a forward thinking and innovative organisation providing sport, leisure and culture to the residents of Pendle and beyond.

The Chief Executive role is an existing position with full accountability for ensuring the Trust remains a well-run organisation, which reaches the whole of the local community and beyond. The role requires someone with a high level of drive, dynamism and commitment and a broad range of skills, which will enable the successful candidate to continue providing strategic direction to the Trust whilst maintaining an ethos of strong partnership working with other like minded Trusts and organisations particularly Pendle Borough Council.

It goes without saying that the Trust needs a true leader who, with the team, can continue to drive the Trust forward through vision and innovation, setting standards along the way and building sustainable relationships, both internally and externally. We need someone who is not afraid to make difficult decisions when required and someone who can oversee all operations and business activities to ensure results are consistent with the overall strategy and objectives of the Trust.

To apply for this position you must have an appropriate professional qualification and at least five years’ experience in a senior position.  Experience of working in a senior role that reports directly to a Board of Trustees/Directors would be advantageous.

We offer a fabulous package of benefits which includes a much sought after Career Average Pension Scheme with Life Insurance; Generous Holiday Package which increases with service; Health and Wellbeing Benefits including discounts from major retailers, free Gym Membership to all Pendle Leisure Trust facilities, Cyclescheme, free car parking; and many other great benefits.

Should you need any further information on any aspect of the role, please contact Alison Goode on 01282 661224.

The recruitment pack and further details can be found on our website.

Please send your CV and supporting letter to: Vanessa Kelly, Executive Manager – Human Resources by an email.

Invites to interview will be sent to the email address provided on your CV.

If you have not been contacted within two weeks of the closing date, please assume that you have not been successful.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 5 JULY 2024.

INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY 17 AND THURSDAY 18 JULY 2024.

Pendle Leisure Limited is an exempt charity with charity registration number XR43029 and a Community Benefit Society registered under the Co-operatives and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 with registration number 29131R. Pendle Leisure Trust in partnership with Pendle Borough Council.
