Chief Finance Officer – Fixed Term for 12 Months with option to extend.
Finance in the FE sector is a challenge. As we all strive to do more for less in a tough financial landscape, it takes a special set of skills to keep everyone on track and more importantly on budget. We don’t expect you to be a magician, however, we are interested in speaking with you if you have a proven background in a senior finance role, preferably in the FE or education sector.
This Senior Post Holder position is a pivotal role and will be a key member of the College’s Senior Leadership Team and instrumental in driving forward our strategy and plans. We have some exciting times ahead that include our new Strode Creative Immersive Learning Lab (SCILL) with state-of-the-art technology and an ambition to become the Digital College of Somerset. We also have agreed funding from the FE Capital Transformation Fund for an exciting redevelopment plan to replace an existing 1960’s building at the heart of our campus. There are lots of opportunities to be part of making a difference within our College and our wider community.
We have a dedicated and committed team of staff and our students are reflective of the culture of our College, achieving an Ofsted grade of Outstanding for their behaviour and attitudes.
You will hold a professional accounting qualification and will have experience in managing both Finance and Support Service functions including MIS, Exams and Admissions, IT, Finance, Estates and Commercial functions.
It is essential that you have a flexible approach and can lead and manage multiple projects and teams.
Strode College has a local and national reputation for excellence due to the outstanding quality of our teaching and support and the resulting high levels of student aspiration and achievements. We help students realise their potential, maximise their results and achieve success at College and in the future.
