Murray McIntosh is delighted to have been retained in the search for a Chief Financial Officer for our client, a well-regarded, independent, Financial Services organisation providing a range of wealth management and bespoke fiduciary / family office services to private clients, families and institutions globally.
Our client's team has doubled in size during the past 24 months and now sits at +100 heads across offices in Geneva, London, Guernsey, the British Virgin Islands, Mauritius, Cyprus and the US. The staff base consists of over 20 different nationalities, with fluency in more than 12 languages, ensuring that local technical knowledge is complemented by cultural understanding, perspective and access. Their services sit across 5 key areas:
- Establishing Structures
- Advisory
- Administration
- Accounting
- Regulatory & Compliance
Having recently completed an acquisition and with future growth plans in mind, the board has identified that the Exec team needs additional support with the finance function exploring a strategic shift to clearly split the core finance activity from client accounting management. As such, we are seeking a CFO to guide financial strategy and shape the future of finance within a dynamic, relationship-orientated environment acting as an integral part of the leadership structure.
Overview of Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the group's financial function, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, audit processes and management account production
- Oversee a dedicated team of 5-10 finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
- Navigate the complexities of tax regulations and transfer pricing across various countries of operation
- Implement a digital and data-driven approach to uncover insights, understand revenue streams and manage key cost drivers
- Contribute to strategic decision-making, supporting sustainable growth while maintaining a unique company culture
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CFO/FD or in a similar senior financial role
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing mid-sized teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, transfer pricing and financial legislation
- Familiarity with financial management software and advanced proficiency in data analysis
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance personnel
There is an opportunity for a candidate to add significant value to a data-heavy business and its digital journey. The organisation has a hybrid model, though the leadership are visible, and there is occasional travel required to their overseas offices.
