Chief Information Security Officer

Ryder Reid Legal are looking to recruit an experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join one of our prestigious, international law firm clients on a permanent basis at either their London or Southampton office. Our client specialises in Banking & Finance, Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions and has a global client base. The primary objective of the role will be to lead the development, coordination and implementation of the firms information section and date protection programmes.

The general duties of the position include:

• Being the CISO for the entire law firm.
• Lead and manage the IS and Data Protection team.
• To inform and advise the firm on information and cyber security risks.
• Drive and deliver continuous improvement of the firms Information and Cyber Security systems, processes, and procedures.
• Establish and maintain clear Information and Cyber Security strategic plans, budgets and targets.
• Ensure that the culture, policies and structures are in place to allow the Information and Cyber Security team to achieve the highest standards.
• Be the main point of escalation for all Information and Cyber Security alerts.
• Develop and improve an awareness program in regards to Information and Cyber Security.

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of five years working in a relevant Information Security role, experience in promoting and managing security change in an organisation, as well as possess functional understanding security threats and IT operations.
