Chief Operating Officer

Ecctis is seeking to appoint a new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is being assisted in this appointment process by the executive search firm Society. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will oversee and direct all daily activity within the company, ensuring best-in-class reporting, processes and systems.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a COO or in a similar capacity, and a strong understanding of the education and qualifications sector.

Essential Criteria

• proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a COO or in a similar capacity;
• strong understanding of the education and qualifications sector;
• experience of leading transformational change;
• excellent analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving innovation and service delivery;
• effective communication, management and leadership skills, able to build strong relationships at all levels and with both internal and external stakeholders;
• strategic thinking, with a clear and demonstrable ability to set and then deliver against a vision and strategy;
• understanding of, and affiliation with, the public sector operating climate.
