The London Borough of Lambeth are looking for a Social Worker in their Child Assessment Team.
The ideal Social Worker for this position will have 3+ years of experience in a CAT team, can commute to work, can attend the office at least twice a week and are resilient and committed individuals.

• Up to £38.50per hour depending on their position.

Your responsibilities as a Child Assessment Social Worker

• Good with detailing cases under pressure.


• Can commute a minimum of twice per week.


• Undertakes incoming assessments and short - term intervention work with families, working with children from pre- birth up to a child's 18th birthday.


• Dealing with S47 child protection enquiries and work jointly with the police and other partners in assessing immediate risk for children that come to our attention.


• Managing a defined caseload, the Social Worker is responsible for working effectively with children, young people and families/carers to achieve positive change and improved outcomes.

Please note there is no parking on site and London boroughs have agreed not to employ Social Workers who have recently completed their ASYE as agency workers.
Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years' post-ASYE experience to qualify for appointments as agency Social Workers.
