SalaryA local authority based in South London is seeking a Childcare Lawyer for an initial period of 3 months.
The local authority operates a hybrid working model with the successful Childcare Lawyer required to attend the office a couple of days per month.
Childcare Lawyers within the team will be required to hit the ground running and have solid childcare knowledge. The caseload will mainly consist of care proceedings, PLO cases, discharge of care, wardship, age assessments, adoption, and duty matters. Candidates are encouraged to undertake advocacy, but they do have an internal advocacy team for longer hearings.
Previous local government experience would be highly advantageous. Candidates must have a current practising certificate. Due to the urgent nature of the role the local authority is seeking candidates available on no more than 4 weeks’ notice.
