Childcare Lawyer

Salary: £43,000 - £56,750 per annum

Location: South East

Working: Hybrid

About the Childcare Lawyer Role:

Sellick Partnership are proud to be working with an exceptional shared legal services team in the heart of the South East. We are looking for a Childcare Lawyer to join a large alternative business structure operating on behalf of public Sector Clients which includes local government and children's trusts. The role is to specifically work as part of a team in the provision childcare on behalf of public sector clients in the East Midlands and South East.

Key Responsibilities of the Childcare Lawyer role:

  • To act as a legal advisor to the client organisations in relation to their Children's social care functions
  • Advise upon and conduct proceedings relating to the care and protection of children
  • To provide legal advice and support services to clients, to liaise with clients and other witnesses and to advise on the appropriate course of action in both civil and criminal proceedings
  • To attend courts and tribunals undertaking advocacy where required and to represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties in matters regarding the areas of legal practice relevant to the post

The role will be a hybrid working arrangement and you will have the opportunity to work from 1 of their 3 offices in central Northampton, Bedford or Cambridge one day per week.
