Salary Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people? Do you have experience leading a team in a children’s residential setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a children and young people’s residential Deputy Manager.
Our client is seeking two Deputy Managers to join their established home in Manchester, M11. As the Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the registered manager to ensure the smooth running of the home.
Ensuring the well-being of all stakeholders that use the service. You will be responsible for:
• Co-managing the house budget and ensuring compliance of the home is maintained with relevant policies and regulations
• Oversee the development of staff through supervision, training, and appraisals.
• Supporting the children and young people in the home to achieve their personal goals and are supported. Supporting and arranging visits for the residents including days out and holidays.
• Deputising for the registered manager in their absence and being part of the on-call rota
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• To hold a level 3 or higher in a relevant CYPW and preferably level 5 leadership and management
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in leadership in children and young people residential services
• Commitment to 1 sleep in a week and on-call commitment
• A UK driver's licence and access to own vehicle
In return, we offer:
• A base salary of £26k/27k per annual
• Increase including Sleep rate of £70 per night, increase of £0.50p per hour for completion of level 5
• On call increases of £1200 per year.
