Childrens Social Worker - Assessment Team

Location: Doncaster

Rate: £35 umbrella

Hours: 37 Per week

Start: ASAP

Hybrid working available - Minimum of 3 days in the office

A Childrens Social Worker is required for an Assessment Team In Doncaster. The Assessment Team is a very stable team based in the centre of Doncaster with a supportive team / manager and manageable caseloads.

Duties:

• Undertake compliant assessment and section 47 enquiries and identify levels of risk
• Record and analyse information gathered during assessment in line with the case recording policy, national guidance and best practice principles.
• Undertake assessments that lead to clear plans that address the issues identified by the authority.
• Have involvement in taking and recoding children’s contacts and referrals to gain a full understanding of the issues being referred.
• Assist in the provision of court statements and prepare reports.

• Contribute to the development of effective cross agency working both in individual cases and generally, where appropriate by providing representation to multi-agency meetings and forums.
• Provide information, guidance and advice on availability of local services and practices relevant to work with children, young people and families.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Previous Duty and Assessment Experience
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
