We are currently recruiting for childrens Support Workers for residential services based across various areas in Cardiff city. You will be based at residential homes which hold a maximum of 5 children, providing support at times of crisis or significant periods of changes in their lives. The children have learning disabilities and a range of challenging behaviours.
Your role will be to ensure the residents are able to live as independent a life as possible by assisting with their every day lives when needed.
You will need to be flexible with shifts, including sleep-ins.
Shift patterns are:
- 09:40 - 22:00
- 21:45 - 10:00
- 21:00 - 07:00

- Hourly Rate: £16.00 - £25.00 per hour

Your duties as a Support Worker:
- Eating out
- Dropping young people to school
- Visit to local parks
- Encourage new skill development
- Activities (bowling, cinema, swimming)
- Empowering residents to be as independent as possible
- Listening to music
- Attending appointments
- Personal care support
- Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks (this may include - but not be limited to - finances, shopping, cooking, cleaning etc)
