Can you make a positive difference to a young person’s life? Do you have good communication and listening skills, and feel passionate about supporting young people to live a full and enriching life?
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Group Leader to support in the co-ordination of a Specialist Play Scheme for young people with Additional and Complex Needs. The Play scheme is based at The Willow Tree Centre for 5 weeks of the summer holiday including 1 week for training.
The successful applicants will be supporting the Registered Manager and Play Leader to deliver a training week, develop a positive proactive team and plan and deliver fun and exciting play opportunities for 5-16 year olds with additional and complex needs, ensuring all their needs are met including personal care and support during meal times.
The ideal applicant will have experience of working with children and young people in a similar setting and have an NVQ Level 3 or above Child Care or equivalent.

About us…
Telford and Wrekin Council recognises the importance of delivering a Play Scheme service for young people with complex needs during the school holidays.
You will be joining a team of committed and dedicated staff responsible for supporting young people within Telford and Wrekin that are unable to access universal school holiday providers due to their disability, it is a specialised service to enable young people to have equal opportunity and experiences.
The programme will consist of a wide range of planned activities and games across a 4 week Play Scheme. We are able to offer both full-time and part-time staffing positions with a minimum commitment of 2 days a week required.
