Are you experienced in providing Complex Care to children and young people?
If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to expand your skills and knowledge into complex clinical care or if you already have complex care experience, this could be the perfect job role for you!
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a cheerful young boy, who lives with his loving family in Walsall and requires support with his complex and clinical care needs throughout the day on a 2:1 basis.
At home he loves to watch his favourite film The Lion king, listening to music and exploring a variety of sensory activities including arts, crafts, and bubbles.
He also enjoys spending time outdoors, especially visiting the Sealife centre, his favourites are the penguins.
Your day will include providing care with his morning routine getting him ready for the day, carrying out daily tasks such as washing, dressing, moving, and handling requirements and attending to his clinical care needs when required.
You will accompany him to his educational setting where you will support his daily routine and tasks, provide personal care, moving and handling, make clinical observations, and attend to his needs when required. You will provide reassurance, and nurture to make a positive difference to his day-to-day life.
It is essential that candidates can demonstrate previous experience and knowledge in tracheostomy care, preferably with children.
All team members must be fully vaccinated from COVID 19 – proof will be required if successful.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Tracheostomy Care (preferably with children)
- Covid – 19 Vaccinations
Desirable Experience
- Ventilation management
- Cough assist
- Suctioning
- PEG Feeding
Shifts Available
- Full time / Part time Days
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays
- 7:00am-5:00pm
