An SEN school in South Birmingham with pupils who have a broad range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, social, emotional and behavioural challenges are looking to recruit an Executive assistant for the Headteacher and SLT. The role is long-term, Term time only, Monday - Friday 8am - 4PM. We also support a growing number of pupils with mental health challenges. The working day can be great fun, fast-paced but also very challenging. The staff team are creative, resilient, and passionate about all the challenges and rewards of working to support children with special educational needs
Your new role
We are looking to recruit an organised, professional, and exceptional Executive Assistant, with excellent administrative skills, a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail. You will be required to play a key role in providing comprehensive and highly competent support, enabling the Headteacher to lead the school as efficiently and effectively as possible. You will be based in the main school office.You will be responsible to the Headteacher and SLT.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal person will be approachable, flexible and hardworking and looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to develop in their career.Ideally, you will have worked within education. However, we welcome applications from people working in a similar position. We will require recent satisfactory references carrying out this role. You will also have a current enhanced DBS in order to start the placement immediately.

To succeed you will:
Have an excellent standard of literacy and numeracy Have management or senior administrative experience within a busy office environment, ideally as a personal assistant or secretary Have a high level of IT skills and experience working with MS Office and MIS systems Be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail Be always discrete and professional, as you will be dealing with highly sensitive information Be capable of prioritising workload and self-driven Work to tight deadlines and work well under pressure Be a confident, enthusiastic, motivated, and positive individual Be able to build positive and supportive relationships with students, teachers and fellow support staff
