Job description

Children's Newly Qualified Social Workers
Salary: £31,364 rising to £33,024 per annum upon completion of your ASYE.
37 Hours per Week
Location: Worcestershire, specific location dependant on allocated team
Permanent 


The Role: 

We have Newly Qualified Social Worker vacancies across the different children’s social work teams here in Worcestershire which we would like to share with you as final year social work students here on placement with us now.  The vacancies are across our Initial Assessment, Locality Safeguarding and Through Care children’s social work teams and these will be discussed with you at interview to identify your preference and best match for your skills and experiences and in conjunction as to where the vacancies are.

  • A designated Advanced Social Work Practitioner who will co-work cases with you as well as give individual reflective supervision sessions.
  • Protected development time – 10% of your week is given over to protected development time, as well as half-day learning sessions.

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS)

This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. The County Council has a commitment to safeguarding service users in our care.
