Job description

This is a rewarding but demanding post that requires committed and dedicated nurses to provide quality care to infants, children, young people and their families/carers from a diverse population
We are looking for Band 5 nurses with drive, enthusiasm and commitment to achieve high standards of nursing care, as well as our goals and aspirations in the future.

Our excellent education programme gives you on-going development and support. You can develop all of the core skills and take the opportunity to broaden your nursing experience. We have a dedicated Children's ED Educator who will work alongside you in the department and support you in your development. We offer many training opportunities delivered in house and also university and national courses. The educational team also deliver weekly MDT simulations within the department and our training pod.
We are dedicated to staff development and career progression. The training we provide offers opportunities for further roles within the department.

We have four primary goals:
• high-quality care for all,
• being a great place to work,
• partnerships for impact, and
• research and education excellence
And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
• we are compassionate,
• we are proud,
• we are inclusive, and
• we are one team
This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
