Temp All Staffing are currently recruiting a Children’s Senior Support Worker on behalf of our client. Our client has a collection of homes throughout the UK and are currently recruiting for one of their specialist care homes providing a therapeutic approach to supporting children with a range of emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be patient and caring and able to provide a quality service to their users within a care home environment whilst enabling them to lead an active and independent life. As the Senior Support Worker, you will lead and inspire a team of care staff and assist with maintaining the smooth running of the home and to facilitate the upkeep of high standards.

Job Role
- Assist the deputy manager in the day to day management of the home
- Supervise a team of youth workers
- Ensure high standards of care and support to each child
- Attending meetings
- Maintaining appropriate liaisons with parents and guardians
- Ensuring all medical needs of the children are catered for
- Organise, plan and lead shifts
- Work in line with children and young people’s care plans
- Maintain administrative records
- Encourage independence and support vulnerable individuals with their daily routines and activities
- Participate in sleep in shifts as allocated on the rota
Education Qualification and Skills
- Previous experience within a children’s home environment
- NVQ 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Full UK driver’s license
