Job Title: Permanence Team - Qualified Social Worker
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £27 - 34 per hour
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate qualified Social Worker to join our Permanence Team within Stockton-on-Tees Children's Services. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans that promote the well-being and safety of children and young people.
- Facilitate direct work with children and families to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.
- Assess and manage situations involving child protection issues and areas of vulnerability, ensuring appropriate safeguarding measures are in place.
- Collaborate with birth families, foster carers, adopters, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interventions, assessments, and outcomes in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Engage in regular supervision, training, and development opportunities to enhance professional practice.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Registered with Social work England
- A Degree in Social work or Diploma in SW, CQSW, CSS
- Right to Work
- Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months
- Sound knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and partner agencies
- Demonstrated experience in assessment, care planning, and direct work with children and families, preferably within a permanence or Throughcare team.
