Children’s Speech And Language Therapist

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments to diagnose and identify Speech and Language disorders in children.
• Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans based on assessment findings and in accordance with relevant guidelines and protocols.
• Providing face-to-face therapy sessions for children, employing evidence-based techniques to enhance communication skills.
• Collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to set and achieve therapy goals.
• Monitoring and documenting progress, adjusting therapy plans as required.
• Offering guidance and support to parents/caregivers, providing strategies for home-based practice.
• Staying ahead of current research and developments in the field of Speech and Language therapy.
• Attending team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as necessary.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Speech and Languuage Therapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) or equivalent professional body.
• Proven experience in delivering Speech and Language therapy to children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of clients.
