Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children with EBD and undiagnosed learning disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive relationships with the children, promoting their well-being and development.
- Providing emotional support and guidance to help children manage challenging behaviors.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement individual care plans.
- Ensuring a safe and secure living environment, adhering to safeguarding principles.
- Encouraging and facilitating educational and recreational activities.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children with EBD and undiagnosed learning disabilities in the UK (minimum 6 months).
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work full-time hours without the need for sponsorship.
- A valid UK driving license.
- An up-to-date Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
