We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Support Worker/Health Care Assistant specializing in Neuro Rehab to join our dedicated team. As a Support Worker/Health Care Assistant - Neuro Rehab, you will work under the supervision of healthcare professionals to provide personalized care plans for each patient. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement rehabilitation programs tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
The ideal candidate for this role is a caring and patient-focused individual with a strong dedication to helping others. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in neuro rehabilitation, is highly desired.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
Administer medication according to prescribed dosages and schedules
Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans
Document patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant or Support Worker training program
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in neuro rehabilitation
Knowledge of common neurological conditions and their impact on daily living
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Willingness to adhere to health and safety guidelines and protocols
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends
Hours Per Week:
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 20:00
Pay Per Hour: £13.00
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
