China Financial Journalist

We’re looking for an experienced financial reporter to cover special situations across China.

This is an opportunity to write for the leading news service in the space with a reputation for breaking the biggest stories on the latest bond issuances, restructurings, and defaults in the market.

As a reporter, you will develop strong relationships with senior advisors, lawyers, and bankers to obtain exclusive news on the latest in debt and special situations. You will also travel internationally to attend key industry events.

This position would suit an experienced Financial Journalist who has been covering debt, or an experienced journalist who can demonstrate a keen interest and understanding of the area.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing relationships with key contacts onshore and offshore to scoop the latest news.
• Travelling to industry events to develop your network and book of contacts.
• Working with reporters worldwide to develop leads and provide first-class business news as a team.

Key requirements include:

• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Significant experience as a Financial Journalist with knowledge or interest in debt.
• Superb written and spoken communication and the ability to quickly develop relationships with senior sources.
