SalaryWe’re looking for an experienced reporter to cover Sovereign Debt across emerging markets.
This is an opportunity to write for the leading news service in the space with a reputation for breaking the biggest stories on the latest bond issuances, restructurings, and defaults in the market. They have led the world on coverage of Ukraine’s debt crisis and are now looking to hire a journalist to cover distressed sovereigns across the region.
As a reporter, you will develop strong relationships with senior advisors, lawyers, and bankers to obtain exclusive news on the latest in Sovereign Debt. You will also travel internationally to attend key industry events.
This position would suit an experienced Financial Journalist who has been covering sovereign or corporate debt, or an experienced journalist who can demonstrate a keen interest and understanding of the area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing relationships with key contacts across Europe to scoop the latest deals and developments on Sovereign Debt
- Travelling to industry events to develop your network
- Working with reporters around the world the develop leads and provide first-class business news as a team
Key requirements include
- Significant experience as a Financial Journalist with a demonstrable knowledge or interest in Sovereign Debt
- Superb written and spoken communication and the ability to quickly develop relationships with senior sources
