If so , this is an exciting opportunity to become a City Centre Ambassador , you will provide a warm welcome to visitors and residents in the City Centre and work alongside partners to provide an on street presence,reporting and dealing with a variety of incidents. You will work together with relevant agencies to ensure the City Centre remains a vibrant ,clean,safe and welcoming destination.
You will be customer focussed,friendly and engaging and have excellent communication skills , you will enjoy working outdoors and have a positive can do attitude.You will be able to deal with complaints and enquiries from members of the public ,visitors and businesses and have a good knowledge if the City Centre.
The role involves working shifts including weekends between the hours of 07.30 - 20.00 over 5 days from 7. It is a physically demanding role involving prolonged spells of walking in all weathers.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
