Civil Design Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for a seasoned Civil Design Engineer, to join a multi-disciplinary Consultancy, on a permanent basis in Manchester.

The successful Civil Design Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of complex technical designs whilst managing various schemes across a diverse range of clients.

Our client provides high quality Engineering, Sustainability and Building Services Design services for projects in the following sectors, Commercial, Infrastructure and Education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce designs to the appropriate standards from initial concepts to detailed design
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and specifications
• Conduct inspections and surveys
• Support and develop junior staff
• Manage elements of projects if and when required
• Attend project meetings when necessary
• Develop design solutions to benefit clients' needs
• Production of Masterplan concept drawings to relevant standards
• Contribute to the technical development of the design function of the team

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience in preparing detailed design for infrastructure projects
• Working knowledge of water industry agreements
• Strong knowledge of relevant drainage standards and guidance
• Awareness of general Highway standards
• Proficiency in MicroDrainage.
• Able to use Civil 3D software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
