About the Role
As a Claims Handler you will support Admiral Business customers when they need us most by expertly handling their claims. This role is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for an exciting challenge in a growing claims team within a new business.
Responsibilities
As a Claims Handler you’ll be responsible for:
- Talking to our customers throughout their claim journey.
- Instructing and working with our claims partners, such as brokers, lawyers, investigators and assessors.
- Identifying and investigating fraud concerns.
- Gathering and reviewing claims evidence.
- Setting claims reserves and making payments.
- Recording claims data.
- Handling email and telephone queries from customers, partners and colleagues.
- Suggesting and implementing improvements to our claims processes and procedures.
- Varied tasks dependent on business needs; you’ll be involved in adapting and taking on new responsibilities as our business evolves.
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Confidence in using a variety of digital platforms such as policy admin systems, claims management platforms, portals, data platforms, MS Office etc.
- A keen eye for detail and an eagerness to learn.
- The ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Strong organisation skills with the confidence to challenge the status quo.
These would be great but are not deal breakers:
- Previous experience in either a claims or customer service role.
- A strong track record of speaking to customers over the phone or online to gather information.
