We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Claims Handler to join our Property Claims team. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality, professional advice and support to our clients throughout the claims process. Day to Day of the role:- Manage a caseload of Property claims on a delegated authority basis from initiation to resolution.
- Provide regular updates and technical advice to clients throughout the claims process.
- Assess the status of claims with clients, insurers, and/or their advisors/solicitors, ensuring all parties are informed of any developments.
- Maintain a balance between compassion and efficiency when managing client expectations.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the market, insurance, legislation, and other technical areas.
- Efficiently run claims and ensure the system is updated with all relevant information.
- Produce accurate claims statistics in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ambition to learn and develop a career in the insurance industry.
- Previous experience within the insurance industry, ideally in Property, Travel, Motor, or related claims areas.
- Strong client service orientation, forward planning, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and task-focused mindset.
- Ability to identify potential risks and seek advice when necessary.
- Strong social skills and initiative when supporting team members.
