- Hours: 40 hours per week, mixed shifts/rota, including some weekend work
We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Claims Handler to join our clients based in Portsmouth. This role is ideal for someone with over a year of experience in Personal Accident Insurance, who is ready to start as soon as possible.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Operate within a small team of specialist Claims Handlers across various insurance markets.
- Communicate professionally and efficiently with customers, brokers, and clients via email and telephone.
- Ensure accurate data entry for the creation of 100% accurate MI reports for monthly client reporting.
- Analyse detailed reports to identify key information such as medical conditions, procedures, and accidents, and apply this information against policy wordings to ensure correct coverage.
- Build and develop relationships with key client contacts, including supply chain, claims managers, and policy underwriters.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience in Personal Accident claims handling.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- A natural sense of empathy to assist customers effectively.
