Class 1 Driver

GI Group are recruiting for Class 1 Drivers for a position with our client based in Coventry.  The ideal candidate will be placed on temporary assignments to support the needs of our ever growing client base.  This role can consist of either day or night work so drivers from either shift pattern are encouraged to make an application.  
The Role:

This role consists of trunking and store delivery work from the client's premises within Coventry, delivering Nationally.  Predominantly, you will be driving a box trailer or curtain-sided vehicle, so manual handling may be required.  This is a  temporary position and training will be provided on the job if needed. The driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and completing any required defects paperwork. 
The Perfect Candidate: 
 

• Will hold a Clean Full UK Driving Licence
• Will hold a valid Tachograph and CPC Card
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience for insurance purposes.  
• Will be over 25 years old for insurance purposes
• Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential.
