About The Role:
Due to an increase in workload, we are looking for LGV HGV Class 1 drivers. As part of the team you will:
- Professionally driving and operating an allocated vehicle that is assigned by the Transport department daily while ensuring an efficient and effective collection, transportation and disposal of customer waste
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report all defects which may affect the safe and efficient operation of your vehicle or equipment immediately to the office
- Verifying that paperwork/jobs scheduled on the tablet matches the container type loaded prior to departure from site
- All Duty of Care/Waste Transfer Notes are completed promptly and accurately
- Use and maintain your vehicle and equipment in accordance with the training given
- Ensure all loads are secure and safe and follow site safety instructions at all sites
- Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and the Company rules including reporting any unmarked hazards, near misses or accidents and wearing the correct PPE
Skills & Experience Required:
- A full UK driving license with LGV - Class1 (only HGV driver)
- ADR Class 9 highly desirable
- Compliance with CPC requirements
- FORS knowledge desirable
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A very personable 'can do' attitude
- High levels of resilience and flexibility
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Commercially aware and takes pride in the quality and standard of their work
