In your role as a mobile Driver, you may also be required to undertake your days work at our Rainham site (RM13 9GJ). Any need to change your daily working location will be confirmed the night before your shift (or a Friday if the shift is a Monday) You will be reimbursed any additional mileage travelled over and above your normal commute in line with standard HMRC mileage rates.
JOB PURPOSE
To drive LGV /HGV Class 1 Vehicles to deliver Aggregate Goods to our Customer base in a Safe Efficient Manner whilst ensuring the Health & Safety of yourself and other Public road users.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES,
- This is a key role within GRS to deliver goods safely to our customers whilst maintaining full legal compliance using New vehicles with the latest Technology.
- Flat bed trailers with loading aids to assist the safety of transporting loads.
- Driver DQC training Provided.
- Complete all paperwork on time to satisfactory level.
- Assisting management on site to enable better productivity.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE,
- Class 1 Licence CE ( Preferably held for two years )
- Must have a minimum of 18 months experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
- Driver Tacho Card
- DQC card ( Driver CPC )
- Good knowledge of legal obligations regarding operating HGV s
- Must be happy to work from both sites (RM18 7HA and RM13 9GJ)
