The position of Class 1 Night Trunk Driver involves:
- This will involve trunking palletised loads from South Molton to Birmingham and Lichfield and reload back to South Molton.
- You may also be required to cover internal trunking.
- Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
- Completing daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
- Working closely with the network hubs.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customer’s expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver:
- Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of curtain-side trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

- Salary for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver is between £36,532pa - £41,394pa (including night shift allowance) AND MORE! depending on hours worked.
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 48 hours a week, shifts starting between 18:00hrs - 21:00hrs.
